    How to make sure that you don't have a faulty b3 chipset in your m17x R3?

    Anybody want to comment on how to do this? There must be a label on the motherboard itself that shows B3. I think it's important to be able to know. So perhaps people who have already gotten their R3s should let us know.

    Remember that the faulty B2 chipsets will eventually fail.

    Also if this does turn out to be some kind of scam we could help put a stop to it or something.

    Its HIGHLY unlikely that Intel will ship out broken chipsets but if they did...

    IGNORE where it says B2, look for revision number.
    04 is broken
    09 is fixed

    Does cpu-z specify the revision number? Have you located where on the main board it will say this and if so, do post a pic if you ever get the chance.
