AMD GPU Clock Tool v0.9.26.0 For HD 5870 download from Guru3D.com

just tick set for all devices. You won't be able to push it that high because the 1.15V is not flashed to the GPU I had my 4870's at 670/1130 @1.15v untill I got my 5870's last week.

Also in rivatuner you have to manually add the 4870 to its config list.

you use this code from GPU-Z just the last numbers not the 1008 or whatever

Here, this tells you how to configure Rivatuner.

I personally recommend flashing. You'll be limited by the voltage if you don't. Also, when you set the clocks in Rivatuner, the card stays at those clocks until you return them to default, even if you aren't gaming. With a vbios flash, you can just set your speeds as the highest clock, that way it will only run them when you are gaming.

You should flash the cards to 1.15v, find a stable oc with Rivatuner and then flash those speeds. You can OC these things as far as 1.15v will let you and not have to worry about it. At my highest reliable clocks, I've never seen a game break 75C. These are basically the same chips as the desktop version of the 4870 cards, and those run at 1.2v+ and 80c+ stock, so we aren't putting these things anywhere near a danger zone.

Make sure you are able to play a game for a couple of hours on your clock speeds before you flash them. It took me a while to nail down good 24/7 clocks. I would think I was fine at a certain speed, but an hour into a game I would hardlock or something.

edit: here is the guide to flashing the cards.

You're already off to a good start, mine wont finish a Vantage run at any higher than 670ish.
