    How to run Firepro M8900 on M17x R3 3D monitor

    Evening every body,

    I've bought an AMD Firepro M8900 graphic card, the real M8900, not a modded 6970M. But this card cannot run in my M17x R3 with 3D monitor, i think the R3's bios (in this 3D laptop) is not configged for other cards, is it right ?

    So, is there any solution that i can use this M8900 in my machine? Can I flash Vbios into 6970M to get it running ?

    kinde beats the point flashing the firepro to a normal ati card.
    external monitor or 3d internal?
    if internal 3d only works with nvidia card and not with ati.

    Yes, my M17x is 3D screen built in :(
    So, it cant run with AMD card, right ?

    hello
    i previously had an M17x R3 with 3D screen with 460M graphics, later i tear apart that one and put an AMD 6870M into it and it runs. i remember i did encountered some beep problems in the initiative tries but i forget how i solved that. now i have and M17x R4 3D version but i need to use an AMD 7970M card in it, and i can't remember how i solved that problem because the R3 ones has been sold out. anyone can help me with that? i guess that's some cable issue.......
