    How to upgrade 7970M drivers without breaking switchable graphics?

    I'm on the stock Dell R4 drivers for the 7970M right now but I wanted to know if it is possible to upgrade to the latest AMD drivers without breaking switchable graphics.

    @catalystcreator mentioned that the 12.8 drivers should be coming out next week and with Guild Wars 2 being released soon. I'd like to be on the best drivers possible for that game but I'd still prefer to not lose the switchable graphics feature.

    From what I've read on this forum before I can upgrade to 12.8 drivers like usual but it will break the switchable graphics feature. If I want to keep that feature I would be stuck waiting for Dell drivers. Is that the case?

    As far as I'm aware, you should be able to install 12.6, 12.7 or even 12.8 straight over the top.

    I can verify that installing 12.7 over the Dell drivers does not break switchable graphics.
