Thinking about possibly not selling and just upgrading, have some quick questions though.

If i wanna buy new memory what type should I get? DDR3 204pin or 200pin? also, does the m17xr2 have 2 slots?

as far as SSD drivers 2.5" is standard I hear for laptops so the next leads me to upgrading graphics cards, Where can I find those?

    Hi there chiefs,

May I ask what your current system specs are?

As for GPU upgrades you can try ringing dell. They are your best bet for GPU upgrades atm.

As for RAM you want to be looking for 4gb stick of sodimm DDR3 1333Mhz. The prices have dropped substantially recently so you should be able to get a good deal on 2X 4gb sticks to give you a total of 8gb. Yes the M17x R2 has 2 ram slots. Very easily accessible if you just flip the notebook onto its backside then take out the battery and unscrew the back grill panel off. There are 2 screws there for you to unscrew to get the back panel off. Then there is a small rectangle silver cover. Under that is the RAM slots.

Yep the notebook hard drives are 2.5".

    Cheers. :)
