    How to use m17x with it being shut.

    On other latops i could have the external monitor hooked up and shut the latop and it would still run.

    Useing this alienware i cant seem to do this and i need to.


    Ideas?

    You can set the power option to do nothing when you close the lid.

    Control Panel > Power options

    Edit your power plan (ie: full performance) and look for lid action set it to do nothing.

    This is Windows not Alienware.

    This is also in the Alien Command Center (I think that is the name?) It is the tab where it has a list of options and one of them is Power.
