I use both these programs for temperature monitoring but on the cpu side there seems to be about 4-5 deg C difference between the two programs when running at the same time.
IE Hw Info will say for example 50 deg c but Aida reports 45 deg C on the same core
So which ones likely to be the most accurate ?

    Thanks

For the most part, both HWINFO64 and Aida64 Extreme report the same temps (+/-1C), but Aida's CPU temps do sporadically jump about 5C, particularly the CPU Package temp, but then settle back into parity reasonably quickly. When there is a difference, I would tend to rely on HWINFO64.

I haven't used Aida64 but I like HWINFO64's sidebar gadget option. I use that to keep an eye on my CPU and GPU temps.

I use core temp to give the temp of my cpu and the all cpu meter gadget or you can use the intel series gadget to display it for you.... for my gpu's i use the gpu observer gadget, but you can also use the nvidia gpu temp gadget to display the gpu temps

This is what i mean with the temperature differences between the two programs ... in the MIN and MAX boxes HWInfo always reads higher
Just wandering if i need to repaste but looking at Core Temp i dont think i do.
HWInfo is always 4-5 deg C higher ...Room temperature is 22 deg C
