    Hi guys,

I have a problem with my laptop an m17x core 2 duo 2.8ghz and hybrid SLI GTX 260m/ nvidia 9400m.

I enabled Hybrid SLI in the bios + integrated graphic card.

In windows Hybrid SLI is enabled via the nvidia driver 160 (the latest at the date).

I was able to play lots of game very smoothly (blacks ops, dragon age... ) but since yesterday with the same configuration my games are lagging so badly...

I think the game is running on the integrated graphic card, indeed when I disable in the BIOS Hybrid SLI + Integrated card (so I run only on the GTX 260m) the games run ok but not as smooth as it was before when SLI was enabled.

Did one of you ever have this problem, or do you have any idea where can it be from.

    Thanks a lots guys!

The first thing would be to check that hybrid SLI is in the right mode within Windows. If hybrid SLI and the dedicated cards are enabled in the BIOS, you should see a Nvidia icon in the system tray. Clicking on it will tell you if the cards are on, or if they're switched off to save power.

If they are off, hitting Fn+F7 will switch them back on.

If they're already on, I'd check the temperatures during gaming to confirm that the cards are being used properly.

And if they're on but not being used properly, the first thing I would recommend is uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.

    Hi thanks for your answers.

It seems that is was because of the stealth mode, I enable it and disable it again. When I started my game (black ops) it said that "my configuration had changed would you like to reset your setting", I clicked YES, and it works great... at least for now.

However, to check if the stealth mode is on I used this software :

Is there any other solution without using a third party software ?

    Thanks guys!

If the Hybrid SLi Nvidia indicator at the bottom-right-hand-side of the taskbar isn't giving an accurate reading then I simply use the Nvidia control panel. Right-click on the desktop and open the control panel, and you will find that while the intergrated (9400m) card is running, you won't have any 'SLi and Physx' section.
