    Hi all,
Just put 16GB HyperX 1600Mhz Ram in the system but CPU-Z and E-LEET are both saying the Frequency is at 800mhz.

How do I go about fixing this so it runs at its designed speed?

    Thanks

It doesn't look right to me at all. It should be running quicker than that from what ive read.

I should add that the modules are brand new, Grey, PnP modules. Plus they are the only modules in the machine installed on the main slots next to the CPU (not under the keyboard)

I think that's just how the memory is read. CPUZ also shows mine as 800mhz.

    Memory Type: DDR3
    Memory Size: 16332 MBytes
    Channels: Dual
    Memory Frequency: 797.5 MHz (1:6)
    CAS# latency (CL): 9.0
    RAS# to CAS# delay (tRCD): 9
    RAS# Precharge (tRP): 9
    Cycle Time (tRAS): 24

Notice how it says dual channel? It only shows the number per channel.

Ahh so everythings fine then, Panic over.
Just a little concerned as when i put it in windows didnt start and wanted to run a diagnostic so thought one or both may have been faulty.

happy its not the case though.
    Thanks

Just wanted to jump in and say that it is normal because it is running on Dual channels. So as stated above 2x800 = 1600.
No need to worry about it.

Download and Install Alien Autopsy. It is loaded with detailed System, Hardware and Software Information. It also has a Hardware Analysis tool that tests everything.
