    hey guys sup just need your advice about buying my friends alienware M17x

    I7 920xm
    8gb ram ddr3 1333
    650 Harddisk
    crossfire 5870
    RGB Led screen
    2500 dollar? does it worth?

    or should i buy new one? or wait for m18x
    and how good are the crossair dual 5870?
    also 1 more thing does alienware M17X R2 have problems need to fix?

    as my m15x just the problem was throttling :S

    that would be crossfire 5870 :p
    if it's in good condition and has some warrenty left i think it's a good price.

    That's actually a pretty good deal Cheater. I, nor anyone else, can answer the ever-present 'Should I wait...' question. You've got to answer that yourself. My R2 is an absolute beast. I'm very happy with it, and I know it will serve me well for the next couple of years. Did your friend mention if there is any warranty left?

    lool thinking about crossair alot loooool my lovely desktop hehe

    yea it has 2yrs warranty :S but how good is the dual 5870 :S and can i upgrade them for 6950 or 6970 whatever lool

    For now there's nothing on the R2 supporting those video cards as they need BIOS support. Still a beast of system with 2 years left of warrenty that's a good price i'll say.
    Only FY is that the warrenty will cover you if those are the original parts that the system was built with or he still has the original parts ;)

    yea forgot to mention he replaced his processor from 720qm to 920xm does it harm the motherboard? or the cooling wont handle the 920x cuz it was 720 sorry for my silly questions

    there are no silly questions only silly answers ;)
    the CPU replacement won't harm the motherboard at all,they both use the same heatsink. I was just saying in case you'll have to benefit from warrenty(hopefully not) you'll need the original parts of the machine if he didn't bought the 920xm from Dell thus not covering it by the warrenty.
