Hi I have an Alienware m17xR3, I've bought an SSD to replace my old HDD and was trying to remove the HDD when the case would simply not budge. I've loosen all 3 screws and it still does not come out and can only lift it from the bottom/.
The second Harddrive bay is extremely easy to remove but not the main one.

Have you checked the manual, and did you break the pull tab? And there is usually four screws not three.

Ya there is 4 screws, also if the pull tab is broke you can use a small screw driver to pull up on the data connection side. My pull tabs broke and that worked for me.

That's great, I'm glad you got it sorted out that way. At least you can now enjoy the SSD :p
