Just sent back the R3 I just received not even two weeks ago. Very nice computer, but I plan on upgrading to the M18x. Don't want to spend the extra money, but know I will not be happy unless I get it.

Back to using my 3 year old HP laptop. Runs fairly well with the upgrades, but man switching from an SSD to 5400rpm HDD is terrrrrriiibbbblllleeeee. It's so slow.

And I need to take the HP back apart to fix the fan and the power connections. It's saying plugged in, not charging. And the fan runs at like 60% all the time. She ain't pretty, but she will get the job done until I get another laptop maybe a month from now. :D

Duuude, nice, but personally I hate multiple gpus lol. Did you get dual 580m's or 6990m's? If you got dual 6970m's, cancel your order or something because you will want the upgrade.

I haven't ordered yet. I was planning on waiting for the 6990's. =)

Oh and finally got my HP running correctly. Took it all apart again, couldn't figure out why the power thing was doing that or the fan running at high speeds. Put it all back together thoroughly and took out the CMOS? battery and drained the power out of the systems. Now the plug and battery work great, no more LED's on after I shut off the computer, and the fan isn't so loud.

    Nice on fixing your HP.

Yeah wait for the 6990s or if you want to spend an extra bit of cash get the 580s. I prefer Nvidia and their more mature drivers however for a performance increase of 10-15% idk if it worth the cost of like $450 extra.
