I noticed on one of the newer updates a week or two ago I saw a 40 percent performance increase in Crysis 3. Is the update after 13.1 necessary, and is it more stable and/or work better? I'm on the 7970m.

The current one is the Beta 5 driver.

I found it does increase Crysis 3 beta performance by quite a bit, but there are some reported issues some people experience in other games. It proved stable for me though, then again, it's still a beta.

I went back to the last official non beta driver after a few daya of toying around, but i never use beta's for long anyway.

How big was the performance increase? Also, is 13.1 wise to stay on? I think mine may be official and the most stable at least according to people a few weeks ago. I got about 40fps in the beta.

You would have to give it a try to know that. Beta are normally pretty good on some games and have glitches on others. I would just stay with the version you have until a final release is done.

Is Beta 5 more stable than 6? Or vice versa?

I'd really like to know this too. I have Crysis3 but I hated 13.1 beta 4 because of a ton of issues with BF3 low fps + skyrim lag + dota 2 dropped frames for 1-2 seconds.

I went back to 12.11 and it fixed those issues, but now crysis 3 is pretty poor. I am considering a temporary duel boot =/.
