Ok i recently purchased a Alienware M17xr3 and it was with a Geforce Nvidia 460m card and I had an error happen not sure what but it retarted my computer and now it doesnt show the control panel or even recognize that the nvidia card is there. I tried downloading the drivers from the nvidia site but, it doesnt even detect my card there, is there anything i can do to fix this?

Download drivers from the Dell site or take a look at the resource cd.
