I have an M17x R3 that is due to arrive at my door sometime around 2/14/2011

The rep confirmed there is a problem with the motherboard.

The rep said that I will receive my laptop WITH the BAD motherboard.

Then, approximately two months from now, Alienware will contact me and will send a technician to my house for a free motherboard replacement.

The representative said I should not see any problems with my laptop when it arrives and that it will be fixed before any problems start to occur.

I wanted to post my converstation with Alienware to help clear up some of the confusion regarding this recall.

I would just wait for the problems to get sorted out by Intel first.
