That's weird. Maybe you have to delete it and then recreate it.

It's at a point where you're into a bit of work for little gain so you could just leave it? 30gb is going to be enough to cache all of windows and a couple of recent games. It's only if you go between a whole bunch of stuff will the size of the cache make a noticeable difference.

Anyhoo, next step. Run up Disk Manager and post that screen ;)

Micky & babar oddly it's showing the ssd as now only 30gb when clearly we saw in disk manager as 59 I think Micky is correct we need to disable acceleration and try as reconfigure. Oh how weird these issues are becoming lol. Also about your keyboard issue usually that has to do with alienware command center and on screen display not being installed correctly.

@Micky Heres what disk manager looks like Capture.PNG . @Hackintoshihope the key board button functions were resolved after i installed the required software on the notebook pc .Just to recall when booting up the pc .In the Bios you see the cache disk drive about 30 GB with status mentioned as Normal and a physical disk drive . Under which you see the primary hard drive that is 465 GB and a Samsung physical disk drive that is also about 30 GB .I think the Sata disk drive is partitioned between the 30 GB cache drive SSD and a 30 GB physical Disk drive .According to the Bios setup of drives on my pc . Do i make sense some how ?
    some h

Makse perfect sense half is formatted as an actual drive and half as your cache. You just need to disable acceleration and try and get all of the 60gb as a cache drive. As you can see the sad is 60gb just its partitioned/formatted wrong.

Hmm, I was hoping the drive would show in DM but I guess it is still hidden. I would say the SSD has a 30gb partition and the rest is unallocated. If it was formatted as a drive it would def show? I know from the documentation that you can mix a cache and a usable drive combination on the same SSD which is why I expected to see the 'slack' in DM as 'unallocated'?

You need to figure out how to turn off/delete the cache (in configure maybe) like Hackintoshihope says. Doing it again should allow you to select the whole disk. If it does not then turn off caching again and go into disk manager. The drive should be there then and you can delete any partitions it shows. Once it is a fully blank disk you should be able to use all of it. I'm guessing once a partition for caching is created it's going to use that every time maybe??

well it sounds a bit technical converting your entire 30 GB cache drive into a 60 GB one . I dont know should i mess with configuring the cache cause im afraid what if i format the primary hard drive by mistake or format the wrong drive by mistake in the process ? .It was a night mare formatting c drive and configuring partitions uptill here and re-installing windows 7 home premium and then the updates and stuff . :( .If some some one could help me technically step by step on how to configure the sata cache 30GB drive to convert it to a 60GB one .I would be greatful to that person :)

I understand your trepidation, and why I was kinda hinting earlier that you could just leave it and see how it goes. I doubt you will see a lot of difference by doubling the cache size.

Since I don't have the same hardware I can't give you a definite step-by-step - only take you painfully through it via this thread and ask questions as you go.

You should not have to get involved with formatting or partitions unless I see a screenshot where it is required.

Step 1 is to remove the cache altogether. As long as you have the raid drive highlighted you should be fine, again if you're unsure don't 'OK' take a screenshot :)
