    So Alienware finally got me my 6990m for my M17x, It has a 2630, 16gigs, SSD and a 6990m. But they are sending me a replacement laptop with the 2760, 16gigs, and the GTX 580 both have the HD display, what one should I keep....

    I would keep the one with the 580m and buy an ssd later on.

    Keep the i7 2760. An SSD like my M4 you can buy for ~$170 but the i7 2760 isn't as easy to replace.

    Personally i prefer the 6990 because it seems to be more trouble and hassle free (re: Throttling), but the i7 2760 is that much better than the 2630 that i wouldn't pass it up

    Just make sure you do the flash method to remove throttling :D
