    INtel ultimate n 6300 problems

    I ordered the wireless card from new egg intalled it and my computer isnt picking it up i tried downloading the intel drivers and all it says is no compatible hardware found did i do something wrong i connected whit to 1 black to 2 and gray to 3 anything else i could've done wrong? any help would be really appreciated

    Is it showing up in the device manager at all? Did you use the drivers from the Dell website or from Intel's website?

    I saw a similiar post on here related to the same problem, and the fix for that was to remove the battery, disconnect the CMOS battery, hold the power button down for 10-20 seconds to do a complete drain, and then plug it all back in. I just received one from buy.com today, so I'll be attempting this install later this evening and will post results. Let me know if the above works for you.

    Also, I've heard that you should use the drivers from the Intel website and not the Dell Drivers...not sure what the difference
    is, but that's the recommendation I've seen.

    *EDIT* Just installed mine, pulled the CMOS to be safe and it booted up and installed without a problem.
