Trying to download the intel rapid storage technology driver from the dell driver site but it says file not found. I was able to get all the other drivers.

Can anyone please give me a link to this driver? I want the one dell put up on their site?

Since it is only 9mb maybe someone could upload it on mediafire and provide a link?

The size was different from the one given on dell site so was a little unsure. But since the wizard gave the link, i guess it is ok. :D

Yeah should be. The IRST in the Intel site is a newer version so the sizes are different. I recommend the Intel one anyway. I dunno about the free-fall, I don't use it as I don't have any platter HDD's in my system.

Quick question, Is the IRST really required for the laptop?

I really does help. Some people report loads of blue screens when using SandForce based SSD's without it. I totally recommend it. There will be an updated version coming which gives RAID SSD users trim.

Um...I haven't installed my SSD yet, haha, but is it good for HDD's?

Not sure. I'd install it anyway. It doesn't interfere. Hardly takes up any resources. Win win really.
