Have they found a way to bypass the issue of using an AMD or Nvidia card for the 3D screens by keeping the refresh rate at 60.

In India they only seem to be selling 3D. We are all stuck here with 3D option. No SSD cache options too. Baaaaaah! I have to either wait for Nvidia's dancing or flopping queen or some how get hold of AMD and make it work with 3D screen....

    Any genius out there....SOS...

There is no bypass. You simply can't do it atm.

But do you think it would be possible when I go abroad to request technical assistance in order to downgrade the screen from 3D to non 3D and change my GPU to AMD!!!!!..

I will be having complete cover warranty....

You could order from a reseller and order with an AMD card and 60Hz screen.

Wait. You are going to buy a r4 with 3d then downgrade it? doenst make any sense at all... why not just buy from a reseller like he suggested.

In Jan i received my original machine 3D with a cracked bottom chassis. They are isssuing me a replacement...It got delayed and now Ivy Bridge etc is out.I am entitled for 3D so i figured I could ask for non 3D and AMD.

But the problem with these guys in India is that they only serve out 3D and nvidia. Nothing else. Nada. The replacements go on the basis of what they have on their line up in Dell India.

Check their website and you will be stumped. I think Nvidia is more popular in India and they dont have the means for technical support to cater for all the options as they have in US or South East Asia.

My only option seems to be no option.
