 :(So I got my M17xr3 like a year and a half ago and I must say it WAS perfect. Running all my call of duty games and everything in general perfectly at max settings. About 6 months ago my computer became a minecraft only computer........If I launch a game it will run fine and perfectly at first then after playing for maby 5-10 minutes its laggs like mad. To a point were its not even possible to play. Turning down the graphics does not help at all. My computer goes from being not very loud to really loud. Whats the problem? Is something fried? Ive kept this computer on a great cooling pad all of its life and its never seemed to really help.I REALLY WANT THIS FIXED please help and I will be so grateful.

Try formatting everything you have and repaste he gpu/cpu with high quality thermal paste like IC diamond.

Have you ever cleaned out the fans? It seems as if your system may be overheating and your GPU is downclocking.

#1 check fans/heatsinks make sure they are relatively clean.
#2 replace thermal paste/reseat heatsinks Arctic Silver 5 can be picked up at best buy/radioshack etc and has consistently ranked among the best performers for thermal paste in every test for years and years so I generally just go with it.

Glad you got it sorted. It's amazing how much dust accumilates in those little vents over time. Out of habit, I give my system a quick look over about once a week.
