I just reinstalled win7 and followed the drivers checklist thread. Anyway, I use comodo firewall's defense+ and it seems that every single time I log in FATrayMon needs to access every single application running in memory... even though I have facial recognition turned off. The only reason I even need the control center is for AlienFX. Basically I just want to be able to use the capacitive buttons and change the light colors without all the bloat.

    Any alternatives to osd/control center?

another solution to your problem, which i use, is to stop the facial recognition service and startup programs from running at all.
