I installed an Intel 520 180GB SSD as a boot drive, formatted and am using the 750GB drive for data. When the computer boots now it goes through a RAID screen before proceeding to boot. Is this because my BIOS is set to RAID?

If so, is that where it needs to be or should I change to AHCI or some other mode?

If I change it, will I have to reinstall or make any other changes?

    Thanks in advance.

I'd just leave it in Raid....and ya, that raid boot screen is because of the raid mode. you won't get that in AHCI, so slightly faster bootup, but intel recommends you leave it in raid mode

My HyperX SSD required to be put in AHCI or My system would BSOD. Not sure if it was a firmware issue but that's my 2cents :)
