    Hello,
I am about to put in this new wireless card, which I recieved as a christmas present. I have the default DW1501 card that came with my system. My main question is regarding the 3 antenna connections. Does orientation matter or can I plug any antenna anywhere as long as all 3 get plugged in?

Otherwise if their is a guide here or somewhere else I would bennefit from referencing I'd love to hear back from you.

I'm going to pull up the alienware service manual and see what I can find there.

    Thanks!
Happy holidays and upcomming new year!

The card should have small markers of different shades: white, grey and black. The antennae should follow that.

Thank you widezu and nayilalien. You both came with quick replies and I successfully installed my christmas present =)

My card came from fortnax computers and had no color indicators or colored triangles, like the dell card, to indicate where to plug what into where. It did however designate the three antenna connections as 1, 2, and 3. I found another post in the m18x forums, by the user fortnax, which showed 1=white, 2=grey, 3=black ( linky)

Everything is installed and working. I did not find this to be the most comfortable procedure because laptops are extra delicate. My main 2 hardest moments were carefully pulling up the media bar plastic piece from the top (plastic is really skinny on the right and left side and I was afraid I might snap it) and removing the 2 cables underneath the keyboard (these are actually easy but I barely service laptops so it took me a few minutes).

Anyways thank you thank you thank you. The youtube video is excellent to help anyone looking to do hardware replacement / upgrades to their laptop.

+Rep guys cheers (Could not add more rep to you yet widezu... need to spread it around it says... maybe next time :)
