The Intel 6300 disappeared and then was detected as a "Network Controller". I have tried, a system restore, BIOS update to A08, and reinstall of the latest drivers. The device does not start, error code 28 and 52 of different occasions.

Is it dead, as in gone faulty?

What is weird is it happened when I try to connect my M17x R3 via displayport to my new Dell monitor. The wireless disappeared. Details as below.

I tried to connect my M17x R3 with a new Sapphire mini displayport to female displayport adaptor, and then to a generic 3m displayport cable, to my Dell monitor with displayport input. This did not work.
