    My friend has an old MSI GT683R that he doesn't use anymore and he has given it to me. It has the Intel Core HRV i7-2670QM. I'm thinking of taking the CPU for my R3 and putting my 2630QM into the MSI. Will this work?
    Also, I'm not sure what HRV means :confused: If someone could clue me in, that would be great :D

    Could be a typo or something. But there should be no problem swapping the 2 cpus, provided you know what you're doing and be gentle with them.

    I'm pretty comfortable working with the R3. It's definitely one of the easiest notebooks to work on! The MSI's really not that bad either.
