When installing the Intel Ivy Bridge HD 4000 driver, I get a "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software" and the Intel integrated graphics are not detected in bios. I installed in order, and without the onboard graphics working everything on the screen is tiny and theres no windows aero. I am getting BEYOND frustrated.

The monitor is only running off a "standard" VGA adapter and there is no windows AERO. Before I re-installed windows there was windows Aero, and all the text wasn't do small. I installed all the drivers! What do I do?

I had the same problem. I actually posted a similar thread but I figured it out. I reset my bios settings and everything went fine afterwards.

Please let me know how it goes

You're supposed to install the HD4000 drivers FIRST, then the nVidia/AMD one.

    Otherwise you'll get that notice.

Don't confuse him, he doesn't need the iGD drivers because he's on 3D and integrated is disabled.

I'm not confusing him, I'm telling the answer to his remark in his initial post.
The reason why he's getting that message with the HD4000 is because the drivers have to be installed first, then the discrete graphics drivers.

Which is an issue I've been dealing with for the past 3 days.

I don't think it's a manner of installation order. I had the same problem myself and the only way I solved it was to reset my BIOS settings. I think the OP has the same symptoms as me because the BIOS cannot detect the intel display.

Not sure at some point my IGP wasn't listed in my bios either.
Though standard VGA adapter x2 in DM was present and I proceeded with IGP drivers first nevertheless.

Jeez, Arai, this is not about you. He has a 3D setup, which means he does not have a functional IGP. His "IGP" has not been temporarily disabled -- it's not there, so IGP drivers serve no purpose, have no place, are completely irrelevant to the issue being discussed. What he needs is the Nvidia drivers.

Rev is correct, I'm glad both of you have solved your problems but the OP has the 120Hz display which disabled the iGPU be default hence he should not worry about it and instead look to reinstalling his nvidia drivers.
