    Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver fail

    Hi, I received my Alienware 17x r4 today. Under device manager/display adapters/Intel HD Graphics 4000 there is a yellow exclamation mark and it tells me: Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18) If I install the Intel Graphics Driver from the dell website for an Alienware 17x r4, will that fix my problem?

    This might not help you, but if the graphics are switchable, you might need to install the driver while in integrated graphics mode. That's how the M18xR1 is at least.

    Try this.

    1. right click > Uninstall intel hd 4000
    2. restart the machine
    3. Check if still got exclamation point.
