This M17x has really suprised me. I switched the CPU to IGP and fired up UT3. All details were on low by default (except the char details was med). Set the screen res to 1920 x 1080.
Started the containment map, and wow, I was blowen away on how fast the Intel IGP was!. It actually can play this map almost flawless, frame rate at between 30-40fps on average, there is the odd dip in fps here and there, but nothing to worry about.
At 1080p this is really impressive to any other IGP that Intel has offered before, and a farcry from the Intel chipset intergated graphics beforehand.

Yeah ok, maybe Intel's lastest IGP is no killer, but should not be underestimated that for sure :)

btw. The CPU was maxing ~73c with the IGP enabled.

Just got done playing about half an hour of Dolphin with SSBM in windowed (640x480) on the IGP, while on battery and powersaver mode. Runs fine with 45+ fps, and I had HWmonitor on at the same time, and all 4 cores were around 68C, and the ram was at like 47C. It doesn't show IGP though---is that cuz it's the same temp as the CPU?

Yeah the CPU and the IGP are one and the same, more or less saying what you CPU temp is your TGP will be too.

The 73c I got during the test run was using the notebook directly on my lap, the cooling vents were blocked. I am also surprised I can use this for an hour and not have sore legs, does not to hot either :)

My RAM is: Micron 16JSF51264HZ-1G4D1, what did brand model part number did you get with yours?

Have you tried Super Mario galaxy with dolphin? With this machine i had around 38 FPS. 100% speed is 60 FPS. I have 720QM, 4 GB RAM and GT 240M. That game rap*s my machine lol. With New Super Mario Bros i got like 90 -100 FPS :p
