FYI: Intel has posted new versions (15.22.54.2622 (32-bit) and 15.22.54.64.2622 (64-bit)) of its drivers for the Intel HD-series lineup of integrated graphics processors, which includes both Sandy Bridge and older Nehalem-based chips in both desktop and laptop computers. The drivers are available for all editions of Windows Vista and Windows 7. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...rs&ProductProduct=Intel®+HD+Graphics&lang=eng (64-bit).

These are only useful for Nvidia Optimus users. AMD includes the Intel drivers in the CCC install, saves you the hassle. ;)

Yes, they're a straight install. I didn't even remove the prior version, just installed over the old ones. Working fine.

Thanks for letting us know Rev. Accoring to this: Release Notes this update resolves "PowerDVD playback screen becomes green noisy screen when pressing the rewind button while playing interlaced Blu-ray" and "Windows Vista**/Win7 Stripe and unusual color video would be displayed when rewinding playback".

Try go into Intel Graphics settings and go to power settings and disable Intel Display Power Saving Technology.
(note: as far as I know this option should only affect the screen when your laptop is running on battery)

yeah, but i was hoping i could utilise the max. power savings and me thinks, the igpu can be optimised further (i am sorry i am a bit greedy in terms of power saving..)

So I've been running the new Intel Graphics drivers for a few days now and it seems that they don't agree with Firefox. Sometimes while browsing now my screen will blacken for a second or two and then a message will pop up in my notification area saying something along the lines of "Intel graphics accelerator has failed and was successfully recovered". On occasion, Firefox will crash and force close shortly prior to or following the Intel Graphics message. Any thoughts?

It happens with both Aurora and Firefox 9. Haven't used Chrome or IE enough since installing the update to say for sure it happens exclusively with Firefox.
