Hey guys i'm trying to use Intel XTU, but all I get is the splash screen and an indefinite hang. Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.
-
What version of XTU are you using?
-
It's either that you
-Using an older version of XTU that doesn't support HM7x series
-Missing XTU file from BIOS (sometimes removed by OEM to prevent OC) (possible to be fixed with a custom BIOS) -

To add to that, sometimes an older bios could support XTU so maybe you should check the changelog. -
I've found that it will also hang if you try to open it without having the OC option enabled in BIOS.
-
Which OS are you using?
-
Win 7 pro x64
It used to work before but i don't know why it no longer works. -
Flash the A05 BIOS. Reinstall XTU.
-
Already on A05 unlocked, it was worked after fresh install of Windows 7. Installed windows updates and now it doesn't work anymore
-
I take it you're using the latest version of XTU? Hmm... If you could remember or indicate which update might have caused this, it might be easier to pinpoint the problem at hand.

Try XTU Version 2.1 - pretty sure that's the only version that works. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det..."&DownloadType=Software+Applications&lang=eng

XTU 2.1 does not work for ivy bridge platforms.
3.1/3.2 was working fine before, but now it fails to work for some odd reason.
