    Hi guys,

By some reason my computer crushed yesterday (Screen went blank & orange), after reload refused to proceed after the windows loading sign.

Tried several things, including formatting the hard drive and re-install via AlienRespawn. It does not install the Intell HD graphics family video card driver, it is displayed as with a (!) mark. If I update the driver through Windows itself - computer wouldn't load, if I install the driver from Alienware CD - same thing.

One more thing - I should have HD6990m as my video card, but device manager shows 6900m - is that normal? One driver for all the lineup?

    Any advises?

P.S. Special thank you to Dell for letting me know that I am not supposed to waste money on your products any more. The drivers are not updated at all, I can't use standard ATI drivers, online chat is not available for the product ANY MORE (what? my guarantee hasn't even ended yet!). Alienware is nothing more then overpriced computer fordubious button lighting... I guess I'll choose new Razer laptop next time, at least I am happy with the way they commit to the product & customer support.

ok first off it doesn't matter about the hd6990m thing makes no difference its the same card.

before reinstalling drivers have you cleaned the old drivers out. follow this guide How to: Remove your Nvidia GPU Drivers.

and you should always install the amd driver first always with your system ALWAYS !!!! that includes the the Intel drivers with it

i think this is why its not working for you.

let me know if this works

here some tools to clean out the files for you instead of using the guide above.
CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
simply select regesity and it will clean it out restart and then use
Driver Fusion - The Complete Driver Solution
select amd + intel then restart and then install AMD drivers first

Hi, you can also try this:

Remove both drivers completely, if you know your way around computers, you can also try a registry cleaner. Install the intel driver first and then the AMD one, and use the Dell one, I know it´s a bit outdated but those are the ones set for our chipsets, so try that driver and check if it works fine, this is just to make sure there is no hardware damage.
