So does the R3 have an internal microphone, i mean it has the webcam, so i assume it has a mic.
Any idea how to set iit up and get it working?
-
I have same problem.
-
Yea, i got it wowrking eventually.
Now im gong from memory here, but there are 2 microphones devices under Sound\Recording.
The second one in the list, theone called "Array" i think is the one to use. However you must make sure that in the properties of both recording devices you uncheck the option on the second tab, something like" use this device for playback" or somehting simliar to that.
Sorty at work and cant get the specifics. -
The internal Mic is behind the small pinhole an inch and a half to the left of the webcam.
-
Mine still does not work. I wonder if Dell did not install it correctly.
I see Microphone and Mircophone Array in the Recording tab.
Both are enabled. Under Properties, Listen. The "Listen to this device" is unchecked.
Anything else I need? -
microphone array should be default device
-
It is. What levels is it set to? I ahve 100%.
I can not get the mic to pick up any sound. I feel like its broken. -
It does have a built in mic, I use mine almost every night for Project Reality.
-
I'm not saying it doesn't. I'm saying mine is not working.
-
I spent ages with the same prob, and after playing around with all the options like i said above, it just kicked in, If i changed something else besides what i mentioned above, damned if i know what it was. Just keep trying, it does work.
-
Can you please tell me the exact settings? I have messed with it for an hour.
-
Thats pretty much it
