My wireless internet only works if the ethernet is plugged in it did this to me before but I just downloaded the Ricoh driver and it worked but now it messed up and the driver isnt fixing it. I tried the broadcom driver but that doesnt help at all. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

What graphics card do you have? Do you have an intermittent wireless card, like you start up and don't have it, then restart and it comes alive?

The reason I ask is that if you have a system with nVidia card(s), you may have a bad GPU chip. If you have ATI, then I don't know. It depends on the age of your system. There is a website about the nVidia lawsuit, though I don't remember it exactly, and you may be able to track down info about which vintages of cards had the problem (if it applies to you.)

Um just a silly question but...

Are you quiet sure that your getting internet Via wireless when you plug your ethernet cable in... Cuz it seems to me that you may be mistaken and your getting a connection via Ethernet..... btw you don't need to plug your ethernet cable in to configure you wireless connection.

Just make sure you enter the encryption key (1) into you client applet.
NOT the (passphrase). Not that your asking for this info but I will tell you anyway in the hopes that it may help in some way, Passphrase is ONLY to access your router via explorer.

Your encryption key (1) is to be entered in all periphrial applets to connect Wirelessly to your router.
