Is the RGB screen on the R2 really that much better than on the R3/R4?

This is a question I've been meaning to ask. I can see the difference between the RGB and my old Qosmio but... it's not THAT bad is it? I mean, the screen on my Qosmio wasn't 1080p so... that didn't count... however it still looked like crap by comparison.

That'd be the only thing that keeps me from going to a new Alienware. >.<

Haha! Im with Jubei! RGB forever! :D

Honestly, I don't know if you would be able to tell the difference after a day of using the R4. If i find a link with the screens side by side I will post it here.

EDIT: All I could find was this 18x vs 17x compairison ( link)

He uses different wallpapers, so it makes the comparison difficult, but even on a poor youtube video I can see the RGB is brighter and has more color saturation. I also think that the RGB "bleeds" a bit more. The normal LED on the 18x is very readable.

So, until you can get someone to give you a hi res snapshot, you will have to take your pick.
