    As title really I been on search forum and having no luck...can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Im just a little worried about opening my AW when I get it as they say it can break easily if you don't open it in a certain way.. :(

    You can youtube M17x Disassembly (or breakdown or any other words meaning to come apart) and you will find a good few videos to follow.

    It really is a deceptively easy computer to take apart as long as you are careful. The hardest part for me was making the media bar turn loose of the computer. Other than that its a piece of cake.

    As to applying thermal paste... thats alot of personal preferance and its according to what kind of paste you are applying and what your are applying it to.

    thanks guys, from reading these forums they say the thermal paste on cpu/gpu isn't up the scratch I have some AS5 so thought I could reapply (if its worth it)

    Thats an awful lot of screws to take out just to get to the CPU/GPU :eek:
