I am mulling over whether or not to buy this config from Alienware:

    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
    Intel® Core™ i7 720QM 1.6 GHz (2.8GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
    1 Year Basic Service Plan
    CrossfireX™ 1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 5870
    17-inch WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 RGB LED (1200p)
    4GB Dual Channel Memory (2x 2GB DDR3)
    250GB 7,200RPM SATA-II HDD
    Slot-Load Dual Layer DVD Burner (DVD+-RW, CD-RW)
    Wireless 1520 802.11n Half Mini-Card
    Lunar Silver - Anodized Aluminum

The price plus shipping, tax and EPP discount is $2433.77.
What do you guys think about the price?

So you're saying I can save $33 dollars, get a different color and accidental coverage by speaking with a rep? Rep's info would be nice :)
BTW, I did read over Joker's Wiki on how to order the M17x. I'll still appreciate any other help.

what the heck are you guys smoking? This deal is DECENT. What do you mean "not even close to decent"? $2400 after tax for that is a decent deal.

I had the same config with the upgraded wireless, 3 years accidental, and an Orion backpack for 2500 before taxes and shipping. You can do better.

Actually, NEVERMIND. It's not decent. I configured the same spec on the website and it came out $2757.47 (after CA tax). You can do better! You should aim around minimum 15%. If time isn't much of an issue for you, keep calling different rep. Once someone gives you 15% off or so, tell him/her that you need couple days to think about it. Either he/she will get you a bit more off or will call you back in few days. Inbetween, call more reps and ask them you got a quote of this much and was wondering if you can take off a bit more. I tried this for 3-4 days and I was able to get 22% off. :D
