Looking at buying an M17x R3 for Photoshop/Lightroom and some gaming. I am also considering the ThinkPad W520, but haven't settled on either yet. I got the following quote for an M17x R3 last night.

    Windows 7 Home Premium
    i7 2720QM 2.2GHz
    FHD 1920 x 1080 60Hz display
    Radeon HD 6990M 2GB
    Killer Wireless N
standard 4gb RAM (will upgrade myself)
standard 320gb HDD (will replace with SSD myself)
    Subtotal: $1,802.15

Is this a good deal? Can I get a better price if I try to haggle with Dell more?

    Thank you!

There is a $400 off and a $50 off coupon floating around the net I believe. Might be the ones they used.

Don't forget warranty though, or else you will be getting ripped off later...
