Hi there! I found this on eBay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELL-nVid...8e90b4b&pid=100005&rk=2&rkt=6&sd=152536718175
I know in the description it suggests an M17x r5, but does anyone know if it'll work with my r4?
Cheers

The 1070m seems to work with the M17x R4 w/ 120hz screen. I dont know about the 880m on the R4 but just thought it might be useful info to have
Best of luck and free beump -
It is compatible, although I would stay away from the 880M --> lots of issues.
You can get a 680M/780M or a 970M/980M. The 1070 needs modification to the laptop and heat sink, a 1060 needs a tiny bit of modding to heat sink. -
Thanks for the info!
How much better actually is the 780m than the 675m? I'm trying to do an upgrade that'll make it last a couple more years - I love my M17x!
I read up on a comparison here (but I don't really understand it):

Can you give any advice on this? -
If you want the best go with Kepler (excluding 880m) , Maxwell or Pascal.
Is this compatible with my M17xR4 (2012)?
