    No. That is the DMC slot for WiHD. The mSATA slot is under the palmrest area

    i found with mine after tearing it down there was no screw to hold the drive in place so had to take one from somewhere else on the laptop also this slot is only sata 2

    meh still faster than an HDD. I picked up a 1tb samsung evo 850 and i'll shove 2x 2tb HDDs in the bays. i'd put another in the ODD bay if they sold adapters. also i might look and see if there are any 2.5" 3tbs available. even a thick one might fit in the ODD bay if they sell adapters. too bad it doesn't have 2 msata ports.

    Yes, sata 2 is still pretty good. The seek time is dramatically shorter with an SSD.
