It has arrived! :O

Well at 25th may i purchased ref alienware m17x r3
So finally after long wait i got it today

Only one thing kinda got me down , the packaging which actually made Me feel like i'm buying a ref laptop since it came in brown box with no accessories (well the hat would be no use but the mouse pad and cloth sleeve for the lappy could have been cool. :X)
I'm very pleased to say it looks totally brand new not even a scratch and So far im satisfied with my purchase , the size did suprise me a lil but i still like it :].

Well i would like to know if any of you recommend me to check anything (already checked that the exterior is fine and well i got everything in the spec's i orederd..) heared some people got one's with stuff missing so i Would like to know what to check just incase , also i'm kinda having Problem with the wireless network from some reason it just wont let me Access it through wifi (although i can connect it with my iphone..) so im Kinda jacked to my desk right now :x.
Also it will help me alot if any1 can link me to any place that i can buy the 6300 2x2 wireless card from (i want to upgrade it myself..) .

 

Try to game on it for a start ? some new heavy game!
You are not clear about the wireless problem , Do you have a router at home? probably just wrong settings.

 

Well downloading heavy game as we speak (also updating my sc2) ..
(what can be a problem except drivers btw?)
nmm about the wireless , yes i have a router and it just wont work from some reason :S

Well i entered sc2 and from some reason is suggest that i put most of the stuff on low :/ (so i tried to put all on ultra and well it works but lag's alil)
so checked if im not using the wrong gpu and as it turns out the fn+f7 button just wont work for me (it pop's up but even when i select to switch gpu's i just wont change and stay's on power saving gpu (tried to change it manually from the switchable graphics but nothing happens when i click to change gpu's..)

 

Well after i rebooted the pc i tried it manually switch gpu's and this time it worked but still when i log into sc2 it recommends me low/medium spec's , any idea why? (btw i got 8gb ram , 6970 gpu , 2820qm cpu) , the dam pc wont change gpu's either on the fly fn+f7 or manually -_-
Only works when i reboot the system and than switch gpu's.. very annoying.

 

In SC2 put graphics settings manually to high then press Ctrl + Alt + F. see how much FPS you'll get during the game.

 

What do you mean you didn't get the retail package? Did you buy from Outlet ? Cuz even my replacement came in a retail box with all the goodies.

 

Well yea i bought it from the outlet site as i mentioned its a ref system but i gotta say that except for the goodies box that i didnt get the system came in a Perfect shape not even a lilttle scratch (i still think to open it up and see if im missing anything inside since i heared some1 got it with no connecter to the second hdd..) and the only thing i actually want from that goodies box is probably the cloth sleeve since its cool :x.

 

My sleeve is starting to tear at the edges. It's really badly sewn, and not meant for long-term use. Better to either sew your own, or buy a bigger sleeve. The $9 in my sig is too snug for my liking.
