    Hi all,
i got myself a m17x R1 with the spec below

    T9600 @ 2.8Ghz
    4GB ram
    GTX DDR3 280 SLI
    1920 x 1200 screen
    and etc

to the new replacement m17x R3

    i7 2860 @ 2.5Ghz
    single 2GB DDR5 GTX 580
    6GB ram
    1920 x 1080 screen
    and etc

my m17x R1 had dead due to my motherboard and GC fixed for many times.
and now, i claim for do a replacement for the spec above..
    Does it worth?

I have no idea how come they don't have the dual GC spec in R3. since my R1 is dual card so it's worth to replace to a single card?

The 580m's a nice card. I have 0 problems with it so far. Though I would recommend u fight for a m18x. Ask for lower ram and hdd, which is cheaper to upgrade with aftermarket parts, and get a dual gpu system there.

If they refuse to give u a m18x, u might wanna ask for more ram and an ssd.

Then you shoud push for a decked out M17x R3 to compensate the loss of the aluminium chassis, dual GPU config etc.
