    I should be receiving my new M17x to replace my XPS 1730 that over heats with many services.
    After a 2 week battle with Dell to replace my unit this is what I got.

    What upgrades should I do?

    Wi-Fi card? Wi-Fi Ultimate-N 6300? Does anyone have a correct part number?

    Will this work?

    Can I upgrade the processor since Dell wouldn't spring for the i7(Many hours spend trying). I even offered to pay for it. Can you get an i7 to fit the same slot as the i5?

    Does it normally come with the HD extra cradle or do I need to order it?

    Sorry for all the questions but am looking forward to getting the new AW.

    don't bother with the 6300 you wont even notice the difference between the two cards if didnt get mine for free i would have just left the 1520 in it,. yes you can upgrade the cpu to any i7 mobile cpu, but if you dont get it from dell you will void your warranty if you dont keep the original cpu and put it back in before any warranty work. yeah they usually come with the hdd caddie & sata adapter. im sure you will enjoy it its like 4x the computer your 1730 was. and god i hope this isnt david weaver
