So I just installed a Blu ray drive in my m17x cause the stupid DVD drive broke. What major pain btw. Seriously.

But anyway, my question is...when I put in a Blu Ray Movie (only tried Harry Potter: Half Blood Prince so far...at work) the fans go to like full blast. If I turn up the volume I can here it fine, but if I wanted to watch a movie quietly I would be hard pressed to do so. IS THIS NORMAL??

I have the Hitachi HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA10N 8x blu ray drive btw.

Can you monitor your temps when playing the movie with hwinfo or hwmonitor and report back

Sounds like its heating up fast and that's why the fans are running full pelt.

GPU-z said my graphics card temp was 47-50 degrees celcius. Which is about what it is at idle anyway.
