I ordered it on the first and it should be here the 15th, this wait is gonna kill me. But anyways I'll list the specs at the end of this post and when I get it I can run any benchmarks that you guys would like me too, so give me some recommendations. This thing is gonna be a BEAST!!!
Specs:
CPU - Intel Core i7 2820QM 2.3GHz (3.4GHz Turbo Mode, 8MB Cache)
GPU - 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M
RAM - 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz (4DIMMS)
Screen - 17.3-inch WideFHD1920 x 1080 120Hz WLED
OS - Windows 7 Professional 64
NIC - Killer Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO for Gaming and Video

why would you choose the 2820 over the 120hz screen? waste of money imo
-
I'll get mine tomorrow, see my specs and what is your HDD?
-
Thank you for noticing that, that was a typo. And I got the 2820 because I do alot of CPU intensive work like file compression, file converting, video editing, CAD, Photoshop just to name a few. Yes i know CAD and Photoshop are now primarily GPU intensive but it still uses the CPU.
your so lucky yours is coming in so soon.... I spent $3,000.00 and i have to wait 15 days for it lol, but on the other hand I am more that positive the wait will be worth it. I just got the standard 320 because I'm going to wait for SSDs to come down in price before i spend over 500.00 in hard drives. -
3000 ouch!
doubt you will see any difference between 2720 and 2820 tbh. even in what you say, but your choice -
Yea ouch... well it was 2850 but after taxes and shipping it was 3050.00. Well i guess we will see in the benchmarks, and anyways sine im a student and in the military the rep i talked to gave it to me for the price of the 2720 so i can't complain too much right? But also from my experiences that extra 2mb cache the 2820 has can come in handy when under extreme loads.
Side note: what is rep power under my profile? -
thats cool
-
does the wirless card make a huge diff? or would the default one be fine?
-
From my research it makes a noticeable difference. Just Google the card and you will see for yourself
-
Any warranty with it for that price?
-
Mine cost me 2400 ( SSD includes
) I got it from a little company and saved 360 or 400$, I don't remember exactly
-
Mind telling what little site?
-
Looks good! I got mine a few days ago with specs just a little below yours. You'll love it the minute you open the box!
