I just wanted to ask, I have an m17x r3 with a 460m and 120 hz screen. Is it possible to upgrade to the 660m? or does the processor also have to be replaced.

    Thank you.

you're probably better off getting a 580m which performs much better than the 660m. You'll be able to find 580m's relatively cheap now

The GTX 660m should work fine as a GPU but it will be unable to do 3D as the system bios only supports the 460m/560m/580m.

    Just get the GTX 580m.
