Is it even possible to run a killer card without the Atheros killer network manager bloatware crap, and let windows run the dedicated driver, or am i stuck with it?

    thanks

Of course you can: just go to the device manager, right click Killer driver and choose uninstall. Then mark the box to uninstall the device driver software (manager application) and complete the process. Then press F5 and Windows will load default Atheros driver you will be able to use wifi without Killer management software. 1.jpg 2.jpg

Try pressing Scan for hardware changes in device manager. That should do the same thing. Are you on Windows 8 or 7?

Looks like you are on Windows 7 if drivers did not load automatically, since they do on windows 8. You can install the driver from Dell:
    Driver Details | Dell UK
I can not test this myself since I am using Win 8, but you should have Killer manager in your 'Programs and features', where you could try uninstalling it. Again, I am using a different version of windows and can not test if this works.

How about re-installing the driver software from Dell, then uninstall the killer management software from add remove programs? I just stopped mine auto-loading as I never use it ;)

Qualcomm, Atheros, Zidas, Attansic, Intellion drivers, firmwares

use the link above, it gives the generic atheros chip drivers (which are what the killer 1103 is based on, the killer bit from what I know just adds the bandwidth management).

You will need to look under

    Atheros : AR5001X, AR5002X, AR5002G, AR5004X, AR5004G, AR5004A , AR5005G, AR5005GS, AR5006X, AR5006XS, AR5006EXS, AR5006EX, AR5006EGS, AR5006EG, AR5006GS, AR5006GS, AR5006G, AR5006 AR5007/AR5008 /AR9xxx/AR2427 Serie 802.11b/g/n Wireless Network Adapter (PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_00xxx Serie)

The 1103 is based on a AR9380 chip I think.

xMAXIMU Sx I also want to uninstall the Killer Management portion..the same as you..but from looking at the list of drivers exactly which did you use in place of the Killer Network? And where can I download it please.

My only problem with the "Killer Network" is that I can't seem to access iRacing with it..at least everything else on my machine looks good to go, and from iRacing support comments they seem to think that's the problem.

    Thanks Tom Win7-64

I too was wondering how to get rid of the network manager but I found a much easier way, just use the Qualcomm Atheros Performance Suite installer again, it will give you the "modify" option, once in that it will give you a list of things to install/uninstall, just check Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager and voila, it's gone! Hope that helps anyone else who was wondering how to get rid of it? :)
