Latest Windows 10 update made new and old Nvidia drivers unusable for me?!

So around two days ago Windows 10 decided it needed to update. Usually I expect some small things to break, but this is huge and rendered my computer to nothing more than a browsing machine. After the update was done, my screen was noticeably suffering from the lack of an nvidia driver, and using windows basic display adapter.

I have a 1060M and have been modifying INF files to update my drivers.

Long story short: After said update was done; if I tried to install the latest driver, it said it was not compatible with this version of windows. If I tried to reinstall the last functioning driver I had, the installer crashes when "checking compatibility". If I tried to install any older driver, it said it wasn't compatible with this version of windows either. I tried the new dch driver and it made a little more progress and actually got to the installation part, but then failed to install. So after asking around different sites and getting absolutely no where, I said "**** it" and rolled back.

But heres the kicker: that didn't change anything! I'm currently on a older build that was functional prior to this update but I get the exact same error messages! https://puu.sh/CKsjW/8d1fc19f40.png

So now I'm just fuming at the fact that my laptop has been done so dirty by a windows build update. Any one know how to go about fixing this?

You can certainly try Dism++ and check all boxes/options and then clean it up. Reboot and see if you can install driver after nuking existing drivers using DDU in safe mode.
Before proceeding do a macrium reflect image and then use Dism++.

Did you disable digital driver enforcement via safe boot?
IIRC all my modded 1060 drivers fail to install without that.
Currently on windows build 17763 and modded nvidia drivers 417.35.
