Having been approved an R2 laptop after 2 months of tech support calls, I am now branching out to the R2 owners out there, as I know there are still some teething problems with this platform.

Is there a particular configuration that has the least amount of problems? I have yet to receive my offer from Dell, but they have said there will be some flexibility.

    Thanks

I dont have any issues with mine. It is really powerful and runs awesome. Though people are having driver issues with the 5870s. But i havent had any of those problems cause I am still using stock dell driver, which are fine drivers, theyre just not the best.

The only problem is the 10.7 driver. If you've got sound hardware, the driver on the Dell website is perfectly functional. And don't forget that there are many, many satisfied owners behind every dissatisfied owner that comes to these forums to complain.
