Hi , I know a few of you have used this for there Cpu Mr Fox being one of them , my question is on my 4910mq there are contacts running down the side of the core and was concerned if this stays liquid is there any chance it can leak onto the contacts and short the Cpu ? , did watch a few vids but mainly on desktop variety not for the smaller die laptop type , did apply some tonight quite a thin coat , covered the core evenly but I am getting worse temps than before , so my question is how much do we need to apply to these cpu ? , I am assuming I did not put enough on hence why the temps are worse ..anyway anyone who has used this please could you enlighten me on the best way of doing this ...thanks in advance

I'd imagine the risks are the same with a laptop heatsink setup and a traditional motherboard.
I am going to get some so will share any experiences I have if useful, I'd imagine you haven't used enough. The amount of application would be the same as a normal CPU so check out the youtube Videos from Coollaboratory -
56 58 57 52 and the hotter it gets the middle 2 end up being maybe 6-8 degrees higher than the outside temps ...anyway will add more and if not happy will just put ic diamond back on and have done with it -
Take a picture after applied and upload here.

I'm glad you've got it working! I guess the idea is to have as little as possible and yes thanks for the heads up regarding it being conductive. -

. Everything in moderation...Used about a third of Liquid Ultra syringe. Should be enough for 2 applications extra if I need it. But it does not look like I need it
. Very good temp on my [email protected] all 4 cores. Idle at 37-39 degrees Celsius. Moderate Internet/office use is 42-44 degrees Celsius. Rarely over 67 degrees in heavier use. Wprime 1024 stress test(167.657 sec) with +91w from processor provides maximum 89 degrees Celsius. http://hwbot.org/submission/2849851_papusan_wprime___1024m_core_i7_4930mx_2min_47sec_657ms Cinebench 11.5 give me 9.42 scoore and 84 degrees max processor temp. http://hwbot.org/submission/2852931_papusan_cinebench___r11.5_core_i7_4930mx_9.42_points Remember that 6-8 degrees difference between the coldest and warmest core is completely normal.
